While certain Maple trees can be grown in Zone 9 on a wet site, most Maples do not do well in Central Florida.

- Red Sunset Hardy in Zones 4b - 8. Deciduous. Vigorous, fast-grower, reaching a height of 50 feet with a spread of 25 to 35 feet. Red flowers appear in December and January. Autumn foliage is colorful.
